News: Visiting Pomerania in July

Richard writes "Greetings:
I shall be traveling through Pomerania in late July (2006). I shall be looking for early traces of the Doege family (17th Century). I will leave Krakow about 25 July and drive north to Poznan and Dramburg. Afterward I will drive west to Lubeck. It would be very pleasant to meet any Doeges and to learn more about Pomerania.

My dad Ralf Doege was born in Berlin, 1939, he came to Canada when he was 21, his father's name was Georg Otto Doege, and his mother's name was Gertrude Shade. I am just curious if there are any living relatives of ours.

My Great Grandmother , Johanne Doge, (also spelled Doege on some documents) came to USA on ship Mosul from Prussia at age 19, in 1874.
She had a sister Louise, born 1865. There is a Henrietta Doege buried in the same cemetery lot in Chicago, IL vicinity (do not know if she is a mother, aunt?) of Johanne, born approx. 1818.
